NEW!! Little clutch bag kits for dollhouse dolls

Late in 2012, I launched some dollhouse scale handbag kits on my website. They were the most popular kit I have ever offered for sale! Everyone seemed to want at least one!

Look how cute these handbags look in a dollhouse!

It made me think that there are lots of styles of handbag, so maybe I’ll have a go at designing some other shapes….so, although it’s taken me a while, I have just launched six new kits – and these ones are for clutch bags.

They are all based on ‘full-size’ clutch bag designs – from the Victorian era, through to more modern styles, such as Art Deco.

They are all to be stitched in needlepoint using tent stitch on 40 count silk gauze. The kits contain Anchor stranded cotton, a generous piece of silk gauze, clear instructions, a suitable needle and a colour block chart to count the design from. When finished, they measure about 24 mm by 14mm, depending on the design, and the kits cost 9.95 GBP each.

They are quick to stitch, and easy to assemble. With six patterns to choose from, there is bound to be a suitable design for you to make, so that the dolls in your doll’s house have just the right bag for any occasion.

If you haven’t stitched in this scale before, or you would like to know what is involved in making one of these kits, visit the free online tutorials page  and see how easy it is to create one of these little clutch bags.  Stitching in this scale can become very habit-forming….

  1. These are darling Janet! Love the beautiful designs you’re working for your five-sided box. As time goes on, I want to do some crewel embroidery again; working on finishing a cross-stitch pillow now (I just do a little now and then so it will take awhile). Your blog is fabulous, and you are very talented! Thanks for your visit and comment. Blessings, Bess
