Your chance to win a free doll’s house mini-sampler

The Count Your Blessings sampler

There’s a Giveaway Offer in this month’s New Stitches magazine, where you have the chance to win yourself one of these mini sampler kits for a doll’s house. There are ten to win, and all you have to do is write to me at the address printed in the magazine, quoting the offer code that is printed alongside the offer information. The magazine is on sale from 21st April – Issue 217.

The sampler is to be stitched using needlepoint (like half cross stitch) on 32 count evenweave fabric, and the kit contains everything you need  – including a stained and varnished wooden picture frame. The frame measures two inches by two and a quarter inches – just perfect for a twelfth scale doll’s house.

This is the issue to look out for, which contains the Giveaway offer – Issue 217

If you’d prefer to buy one instead, these sampler kits are £7.95 on my website, www.janetgranger.co.uk . Shipping is free worldwide if your order total is over £10, otherwise a flat rate of £1.25 applies.

Embroidery designers can be strange at times….

This month’s Artisans in Miniature online magazine – 139 FREE pages-worth!

In this month’s Artisans in Minature online magazine, you can read an article based on an interview I gave called ’10 Things You Never Knew About Me’. So, for those of you who might wonder about when I first started to stitch, or whether I need glasses to see the fine counts of silk gauze that I use when I design the miniature needlepoint kits that I sell on my website …or how I met my husband, even (!), this article will tell you!

’10 things about me’ article on page 35

The April Issue of AIM is wonderful – 139 pages of the cream of the miniatures world – and what is best about it is that the magazine is completely FREE!

Here are some tasters to get you interested – my favourite pages from this month’s issue:

There’s a large section on weddings, to tie in with this month’s Royal Wedding
Easter projects also feature in the April issue
I love making miniature plants, so this was one of my favourite parts of the magazine
There are always several projects in each issue

So, get a cup of coffee and some chocolate biscuits, click here to read the full magazine now, and treat yourself  🙂

Finished embroidery: my latest doll’s house sampler – ‘Happiness is Home Made’

‘Happiness is Home Made’ miniature sampler, measuring 2 inches by 2 1/4 inches

This design is featured in the latest edition of Dolls House World magazine (the May issue, number 224, which is on sale during April 2011). It is the fifth in a series of sampler designs that I am doing for the magazine over the next few months. If you get yourself a copy, you can stitch the design from the colour block chart included in the magazine. You’ll need a piece of 32 count evenweave fabric, a size 26 tapestry needle, and some Anchor stranded cotton. If you prefer to buy the full kit from me (which includes a stained and varnished wooden picture frame, to mount the  sampler in), then you can take advantage of the special offer in the magazine to get 25% off the usual kit price. Just quote the Discount Offer Code listed in the magazine when you buy online from my website, and you can buy the sampler kit for £6  instead of £7.95.
