Five Day Art Challenge: Day two

As part of the Five Day Art Challenge, here are three photos of my work as today’s contribution.

Over the years I have been running my business, I have ended up specialising, to some extent. I love creating doll’s house scale versions of William Morris designs, in particular – carpets, wallhangings, and so on, for people to stitch in needlepoint from kits, as I think that the designs of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement are just wonderful. Here are three examples of my stitching, which are all available as kits from my website:

A William Morris style carpet called 'Prudence', with a Tree of Life piano stool

An 'Orange Tree' wallhanging, and a 'May' carpet and matching cushion

Today, I nominate Paulette of Beedeebabee to do the Five Day Art Challenge, and showcase her wonderful felted items.

  1. Oh I would love to see your dolls house, the furniture looks so old and “real”. I also adore the little tapestry stitching frame in your 2nd picture.
Thank you for your comments. I do try to use stash I have and not look too much at new things, but unfortunately I rarely succeed.
